PHM Monthly Connect | Dec 2019

Dear Partners,

The hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is here and I wanted to take a moment to pause and thank God for you. I am so thankful this year for all the prayers, love, support, and encouragement you have shown me in 2019. I encourage you all, before this season is over, to reflect on how God has blessed you this year. While I am thankful for all God has done and for your partnership this past year, I am excited to see what God has in store for 2020.

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:   “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:22-23 (ESV) If we read this scripture closely we will see that the nearness of God is in His name, Immanuel, which means God with us. Throughout scripture God draws near to His people, but through the birth of Christ, God comes down to us as an infant in a manger. God desires to know us intimately and for us to show the love of God to others. While the Christmas season can so easily make many feel isolated or alone, I encourage you all to lean into the one in whom we are found, Christ Jesus. Let us go out of our way this season to know the love God has for us and to show that love to others.

Triumphant Always,

Dr. Pat Harrison
